SAFETY PRECAUTIONS: Please Read Carefully
Step 1: Updating or replacing Memory modules.
Locate empty memory socket on your system. If memory sockets are all occupied, locate the socket with the least amount of memory. Unlock the connector clip on both ends of the socket. Gently pulling up, remove existing memory module.
Step 2: Install Hilevel Memory modules.
For SDRAM, line up the TWO notches on the memory module that is along THE GOLD EDGE of the memory module with the TWO SDRAM pegs in the memory socket.
For DDR and DDR2, line up the single notch on the memory module that is along the gold leads of the memory modules with the peg in the memory socket.
Apply gentle EQUAL pressure on both ends, holding the memory from one end to the other.
Step3: Push the memory module into the socket until it click into place and is firmly seated.
Once memory module is inserted firmly into the memory socket, the connector clips on both ends of the socket will automatically lock into place.
IMPORTANT: You MUST properly align the notches with the corresponding pegs. Failure to do so will result in severe damage to the computer.
NOTE: Most computers will automatically recognize the new memory when the computer is booted up.
If your system requires you to run setup: Upon bootup, you'll be prompted with "memory size mismatch" error or "invalid configuration" message.
When the settings have been saved, your computer will automatically reboot with the new configuration and updated amount of memory.
